Our Story
The Story of IslandTea
Silkfive (Pvt) Ltd began its journey in Sri Lanka in 2023 with a clear vision: to introduce premium, natural tea and coffee experiences to customers across the country. As the official franchise operator, Silkfive proudly brought the internationally recognized brands Island Tea Co. and Ceylon Coffee Club to local communities.
Founded by Minod De Silva, with the support of the mother company based in the Philippines, the business was built on a passion for quality, authenticity, and natural products.
Under the leadership of Directors Dr. Chinthaka and Dr. Asela, Silkfive expanded from its flagship branch at Colombo City Centre to 16 locations nationwide, serving thousands of customers every day.
2023 — Founded
Silkfive (Pvt) Ltd established as the official Sri Lanka franchise operator for Island Tea Co. & Ceylon Coffee Club.
Flagship — Colombo City Centre
The first branch opened at Colombo City Centre, marking the beginning of an exciting journey in Sri Lanka's hospitality industry.
Today — 16 Locations Nationwide
